Yesterday, the United States elected Barack Obama for his 2nd term as our US President. Obama gained 303 electoral votes and Romney only 206. You, OCHS also elected Obama as president in our Mock Election that ended yesterday at 8:00pm. 65% of students voted for President Obama. Thank you to all who participated. The blood drive is happening today and tomorrow in the auxiliary gym! Great Job to Senior Katee Weisser who completed her term as Oregon State's Student Council President this past weekend. Congratulations to Sophomore Jake Halbakken who was elected as our Metro Rep for the coming year! He campaigned against 2 other candidates and won in a tie-breaker election! It was close, but we are so proud of Jake and his desire to represent Oregon students!!
Last year OCHS sent 30 students on a community service bus trip to San Francisco during spring break!! That was our first every Pay it Forward Trip. OCHS is preparing to send another team of students on a similar trip, but this time we will serve 5 different communities on our way to Carson City, Nevada! If you are interested in going on this trip, attend an informational meeting during lunch on Thursday in room F128. This is an amazing opportunity to serve, to meet other students from our school, and have a ton of fun! See you on Thursday.

Attention Wrestlers and anyone interested in wrestling this season. You must have ALL your required paper work turned in to the Athletic Office and have the Pink copy of the Check Off form to give to the coaches BEFORE you can participate fully in practice.
