Racquetball information and sign up packets are available in the Athletic office.  The first practice will be held at Eastside Athletic Club TODAY from 4-6pm.  Make sure all dues are paid and all paperwork is turned in before you step on court.  Anyone still involved in a fall sport is okay to sign up late.  Please see the racquetball web page for more information.  http://www.ochs.orecity.k12.or.us/racquetball

Hey everyone, don’t forget, the Key Club is doing a fundraiser called “Trick or Treat for UNICEF.”  This is a fundraiser to collect money to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.  If you want to help collect, see Sherry Reeder. All money is due by November 2nd!

Freshmen and Link Crew:  Got scare?  Tuesday night, October 30th at the Jackson Auditorium, Link Crew will be hosting the annual SCARY MOVIE NIGHT! The movie is FREE.  There will also be popcorn and drinks! Doors open at 6:30. Link Crew:  Please arrive at 5:30 to help set up.  Come get your SCARE on!

All Wrestlers, Stat girls and anyone interested in participating in wrestling: Please plan to attend the important meetings on Tuesday, October 30th. The first is the ALL Sport meeting at 6:30, then at 8:00 there will be a mandatory wrestling parent/wrestler meeting in room B111. Please put this on your calendar and tell your parents too.

Portland National College Fair is tomorrow from 1 – 5 at the Portland Convention Center. Workshops available from financial aid to college admissions to doing the college essay. Come down to the Library for a spooktacular contest.  Guess the weight of the giant pumpkin and win a book.  The winner will be announced on October 31st.  Good luck!

Tomorrow, October 27th, we are hosting a Volleyball “play-in” game for our Varsity Volleyball team.  The game is at 6:00 pm and will determine if our team will go to the play-offs. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students/children. ASB cards are NOT accepted. School, athletic district, official association, referee, etc. passes are NOT accepted. Only OSAA gold cards and OSAA media passes accepted with photo ID.  Come support your Pioneers!

Congrats to Al Lacey and Rachel Crawford who were individual qualifiers for the State cross country meet. Great job and good luck at State!

Girl’s basketball is having a player/parent meeting to discuss the upcoming 2012-2013 season.  The meeting will be in the lower commons at 8pm on Tuesday, October 30th, right after the winter sports parent meeting. For more information on girls basketball, see Mr. Guelsdorf in F116.

Attention all NHS members:  Our first campus clean-up of the year is Thursday, November 1st, right after school in the D/E commons.  Don’t forget, you need one a trimester.

This weeks DECA meeting will be on Tuesday night at 7pm rather than Wednesday due to Halloween. Please plan ahead and wear your DECA    t-shirt all day Tuesday. It’s not too late to join, so if you are taking marketing, accounting or business law, come to F111 on Tuesday night.

Show your spirit for tonight’s game by coming by Pete’s Place and getting decked out for the game. A new, mean Pioneer shirt, a sweatshirt to keep you warm, a car flag to deck out your ride, or even shine with our glow sticks.  Play tough Pio’s!

October 29th through November 2nd is Bare Necessities week!  Make sure you bring in money to support your favorite student/teacher team!  This money supports under privileged families during the holidays.  The losing teams will be slimed at the Bare Necessities assembly in December!

Attention student interested in International Seminar: Registration forms are due TODAY! This year’s seminar, “Easter Promises: Beyond the Iron Curtain,” will focus on Eastern Europe and Russia.  You do not have to be TAG to participate, but you do need to turn in your form to Ms. Pittenger TODAY.  If you have questions, see Mr. Jordan, Mr. Hellman, Mr. McDonald, Mr. Brown or Ms. Pittenger.
