We are excited to announce that Tom Lovell has been selected to be the next principal at Oregon City High School. Tom has spent the last fourteen years as an administrator in the Pendleton School District; five years as an assistant principal and nine years as the principal at Pendleton High School.

Today a special assembly was held for incoming 8th grade students from Ogden Middle School and Gardiner Middle School.

Art teacher and City Commissioner Rocky Smith went to Washington D.C. last Monday for the Presidential Inauguration.

Tickets to the inauguration are distributed to the states in limited quantities. Smith received his due to being a City Commissioner and having a contact in D.C., Geoff Roth, an Oregon City High School graduate.

The Honor Cord Banquet was held at the Abernethy Center, Tuesday, May 22nd.

This event was to present students with their honor cord. These students have earned an Honors or Advanced diploma with a 3.80 or above weighted GPA.

Oregon City and West Linn high school alumni football players will renew their “Battle for the Bridge” fundraising rivalry this summer.

Football alumni from the two schools will clash at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at the Oregon City High School football stadium. Tickets will go on sale at the stadium the day of the game for $10. The game is a benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Oregon. Last year, in the first “Battle for the Bridge,” $18,500 was raised for the foundation.
