The Oregon City High School bands will have their American as Apple Pie concert Thursday evening at 7pm. The bands will honor Veterans and Public Service Officers with a selection of patriotic songs. The bands have been rehearsing for six weeks.
Mr. Henson, the band director, said, "I love band! It is my life!" Mr. Henson has been in his new position as band director for four months, and this will be his first concert as OCHS Band Director. The bands playing are JV Jazz Band, Varsity Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Honors Wind Symphony.
Refreshments will be served in The Commons after the concert. Entry and refreshments are free, and the event is open to the public. Veterans from any branch of the military are especially encouraged to attend.
